Peter Bawden formed Bawden and Associates in 1999 having managed the global IP matters of Exxon Chemical and specialises in chemistry, polymer and formulation chemistry.

Peter was subsequently joined by Stephen Geary, formerly of ICI and Unilever who practices in chemistry, medical devices and life science fields.

Stephen has also practiced for a number of years with a London firm prior to joining Bawden and Associates.

Alan Cooper for many years handled patent and trade mark matters for ICI Paints and Johnson Matthey.

Fred Lupton has practiced for many years in the physics and mechanical engineering field and Mike Ricks provides further expert capability in chemistry and fine chemicals and agrochemicals having formerly worked with Sygenta.

All our attorneys are Chartered Patent Agents and European Patent Attorneys and some are Registered Trade Mark Attorneys. Stephen is a Patent Agent Litigator.

Sue Gentle manages our patent administration. Sue was employed for many years by ICI as Head of Patent Formalities and has extensive expert knowledge of procedural aspects of acquiring and maintaining intellectual property rights around the world.

Margaret Holt has been with the firm since 1999 and is responsible for company administration management, information management, searching activities, trade mark formalities and business development.

Sandra Oliver and Sharon Collins provide administrative support for the company.
